The block after it has been stripped down. The first set of pictures shows the block getting planed down perfectly flat to avoid warpage and below that is the cylinders getting bored out for the new larger diameter JE pistons.

I also had a lot of work done on the con rods. I found it cheaper to have the rods strengthened then to buy titanium replacements (over $400 easily). Below are some pictures of the process.

I also had the entire engine completely balanced out. These are some pictues of the balancing machines which actually rotate each piece and check for uneven rotational motion. If the object doesn't balance out, a red dot gets placed on the computer screen which tells the operator where to remove or insert weight. Works almost exactly like one of those tire balancing machines at your local tire shop. Neat stuff!
